I created this piece in my junior art class after Black Lives Matter became a huge topic of debate. Honoring important black figures is important and I chose to make a greyscale of Malcolm X because I feel that he is usually not recognized because he is seen as "evil" or violent.

This artwork titled "what remains" is a charcoal piece depicting a skull, inspired by the chiaroscuro art style.
I painted this around when quarantine first started. It's called "Quarantine" because it's symbolic of the way I was feeling at that time. I was watching the chaos unfold behind my screen at home. So many things were happening at once, and it was really overwhelming.

This piece, "Where there is Dark, there is Light" is a self-portrait done in oil pastels, inspired by the art style chiaroscuro.
